Invitation to 2nd Annual Freedom Walk Buffalo
Saturday, April 5th, 2014
University at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York
There are almost 27 MILLION slaves in our world today.
- The amount of slaves in the world today is over three times the population of New York City.
- Last December there was a minor being prostituted against her will at Red Roof Inn, across the street from University at Buffalo North Campus.
Please help us create a network across Buffalo that will be a voice for the voiceless and will NOT stand for human trafficking in our community! Come join UB and the Buffalo community April 5th for a seminar and 5k awareness walk to help our community become aware and educated on such an important issue! There will be a testimony by a human trafficking survivor from Western New York, law enforcement, and a questions panel with representatives from local human trafficking abolition organizations. A 13 year old who was almost trafficked, but because her parents saw the signs is now safe, will also be speaking. We, as a community, need to know the signs to prevent human trafficking, and the first way to do this is to become aware. We hope to see you Saturday, April 5th on UB's North Campus at Freedom Walk Buffalo!
